Ingredients

Instructions

  • Peel the orange and break it up into pieces. Add in a 4-quart slow cooker. Rinse the apples and cut into quarters (discard the cores), place in slow cooker. Add the Member's Mark™ Cinnamon Sticks, ground cloves, and Member's Mark™ Granulated Sugar. Add water (just enough to cover the fruit).
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
  • Remove the cinnamon sticks and put to the side. With a potato masher, mash the fruit. Add the cinnamon sticks back into the mixture and cover. Cook on low for 1 more hour.
  • Slowly strain the chunks of fruit through a fine mesh strainer into a large pot of heat-safe pitcher. You can discard the solids/ fruit chunks. Strain the cider one more time to make sure there's no more fruit chunks. Serve the cider warm or add to refrigerator and serve once cold.
