Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli

Beef and broccoli is always a good choice - especially when it's made in the slow cooker! By the time it's ready, all you have to do is make some quick rice, and you have yourself a meal! Member's Mark™ Crushed Red Pepper adds a little heat to this savory, salty, delicious dish!

  • 1 Slow cooker

Ingredients

  • lbs Flank steak  thinly sliced and chopped into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • cup Low sodium soy sauce
  • cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Minced garlic
  • ¼ tsp Member's Mark™ Crushed Red Pepper
  • 4 cup Broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp Cold water

Instructions

  • Grease the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray. Add steak, beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and Member's Mark™ Crushed Red Pepper. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low 4-5 hours.
  • After 4-5 hours, uncover the slow cooker. In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch and water until dissolved. Add the mixture to the slow cooker and stir. Cover and allow to cook another 20-25 minutes.
  • Just before serving, place broccoli in a large microwavable bowl, fill with 1/2-inch of water, and cover with a paper towel. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Drain, stir broccoli into slow cooker, and serve.
