Wash, peel, and cube sweet potatoes. Put them in a pot with water and bring it to a boil for about 12-15 minutes (until the potatoes are fork tender).
Once fork tender, remove the potatoes from the pot and add them to a mixing bowl and use a hand mixer to whip. Whip until smooth.
Set whipped potatoes aside, melt butter and add it to a separate mixing bowl. Add heavy cream, salt, pepper, and cinnamon to the melted butter and whisk together. Pour over whipped sweet potatoes and whisk to combine.
Once creamy, transfer whipped sweet potatoes to a serving dish and serve! Optional: add chives, parsley, or extra butter for garnish.
