Ingredients

Instructions

  • Warm the milk in the microwave or over the stovetop until it's about 100° F. Pour half the milk into a bowl with the Fleischmann's® Active Dry Yeast and 1 tsp of Member's Mark™ Granulated Sugar.
  • Stir to combine and let the mixture sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the mixture should be bubbly and frothy.
  • Add the remaining milk, melted butter, Member's Mark™ Granulated Sugar, Member's Mark™ Sea Salt, and 2 cups of Member's Mark™ All Purpose Flour. Knead until fully combined.
  • Slowly add the remaining Member's Mark™ All Purpose Flour until the dough is tacky, but doesn't stick to the bowl or surface. Knead again for 5 minutes.
  • Leave the bowl in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap for one hour. This will allow the dough to rise.
  • Once risen, roll out the dough and cut into donut shapes using a round cookie cutter.
  • Pour about 2 inches of fry oil in the bottom of a pan and heat until 350° F. Fry the donuts for about 1 minute on each side, or until golden brown.
  • Once golden brown, let the donuts rest on a cooling rack and repeat the process with the remaining dough. Once all donuts are fried and cooled, top them with your favorite frosting or glaze.
