Easy Homemade Pizza Crust
Makes: 1 large or 2 medium pizzas

Ingredients

2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)

1 tsp sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil (plus more for brushing)
Instructions

Activate the yeast:
In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, until it looks foamy. -
Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a rough dough forms. -
Knead:
Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. (You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook.) -
Let it rise:
Lightly oil a bowl, place dough inside, and cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm spot for 30–60 minutes, until doubled. -
Shape the crust:
Punch down dough, then roll or stretch into your desired pizza shape and thickness.

Goat Cheese and Mushroom Pizza
Ingredients
- Cornmeal as needed
- 2½ tsp Minced garlic
- 1 tbsp White truffle oil plus more for drizzling
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 large Sweet onion thinly sliced
- Member's Mark™ Mediterranean Sea Salt Grinder to taste
- Member's Mark™ Black Peppercorn Grinder
- 12 oz Cremini mushrooms sliced
- Your favorite pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 oz Goat cheese crumbled
- 2 oz Fresh mozzarella
- 2 tbsp Chives chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475°F, lightly oil a 12-inch round pizza pan, sprinkle with a little cornmeal and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of the garlic with the truffle oil.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the onion and cook until soft, 7 to 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the remaining garlic and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden in color, 10 to 12 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.
- Roll the pizza dough to fit the prepared pan. Spread the garlic-truffle oil mixture over the entire surface and pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the onion-mushroom mixture evenly on top. Place the cheeses evenly around the pizza and return to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Once the cheese is cooked to your liking, remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chives and drizzle of extra truffle oil. Rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
