Crescent rolls arranged in a circular shape are filled with ground beef and onions – and you’ll love how Member’s Mark™ Taco Seasoning gives these ingredients a signature south-of-the-border flavor.  After baking, the dough is brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with Member’s Mark™ Jalapeño Pepper Flakes for extra kick!  Serve with Cilantro Lime Rice for a complete meal that you can share with friends and family.

Tips for Assembling Your Loaded Taco Party Ring

  • Cool the taco meat first
Let the cooked taco meat sit for 5–10 minutes before assembling. If it’s too hot, it can make the dough soft and soggy.
  • Drain the meat well
After browning your ground beef (or turkey), drain off as much grease as possible. Too much liquid can leak out during baking.
  • Keep the crescent dough cold
Leave the cans in the fridge until the last minute. Cold dough is easier to work with and bakes up flakier.
  • Don’t overfill
This is the biggest mistake. Use about 1 pound of meat total and spread it in a ring on the wide ends of the dough triangles. Overstuffing causes blowouts.
  • Mix some cheese into the meat
Stir shredded cheese into the warm meat mixture, then add a little extra on top before folding. This helps the filling hold together.
  • Arrange like a sunburst
Lay the wide ends of the triangles in a circle with the points facing outward so it looks like a sun. Slight overlap helps keep it sturdy.
  • Tuck the points underneath
Pull each pointed end over the filling and tuck it under the inner edge of the ring so it stays closed.
  • Use parchment paper
This makes cleanup easy and helps prevent sticking.

Toppings to Add into the Middle of the Loaded Taco Party Ring

The center of a taco ring is the perfect spot to pile on fresh toppings so everyone can grab some with each slice. Here are some of the best toppings to add to the middle:

Fresh toppings

  • shredded lettuce – adds crunch and freshness
  • diced tomatoes – classic taco topping
  • diced avocado or guacamole – creamy and rich
  • sliced green onions – a little bite and color
  • chopped cilantro – bright, fresh flavor
  • thinly sliced jalapeños – for heat
  • black olives – salty and classic taco-night style

Creamy toppings

  • sour cream – super popular for dipping each slice
  • queso dip – warm cheese dip in a small bowl placed in the center
  • salsa crema / chipotle crema – drizzle or serve in a ramekin
  • ranch or avocado ranch – especially good for a party snack feel

Saucy toppings

  • salsa or pico de gallo
  • corn and black bean salsa
  • mango or pineapple salsa for a sweet-spicy twist
  • hot sauce varieties

Fun party-style center idea

A really pretty way to serve it is to put a small bowl of sour cream, salsa, or guacamole right in the center opening, then surround it with lettuce and tomatoes around the bowl.

A great combo is:
shredded lettuce + pico de gallo + a bowl of sour cream + guacamole

It makes the taco ring look extra festive and easy for guests to serve themselves.
