Quick Cornbread Recipe
Ingredients

1 cup yellow cornmeal

1 cup all-purpose flour

¼ cup sugar

1 tbsp baking powder
-
½ tsp salt

1 cup milk

1 large egg
-
¼ cup melted butter
-
2 tbsp honey (optional)
Directions

Heat oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan or cast-iron skillet.

Mix dry ingredients: cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Mix wet ingredients: milk, egg, melted butter, and honey.

Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir just until combined. Don’t overmix.

Pour into the pan and bake 18–22 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice.
For chili: Add ½ cup shredded cheddar + 1 diced jalapeño to the batter for a savory, slightly spicy version.

Homestyle Beef Chili
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 3 tbsp Member's Mark™ Homestyle Chili Seasoning
- 1 15 oz can Diced tomatoes
- 1 5.5 oz can Tomato juice
- 1 16 oz can Kidney beans rinsed and drained
- 1 16 oz can Pinto beans rinsed and drained
- ½-1 cups Water as needed
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef. Drain the excess fat.
- Add the remaining ingredients to the pot. Simmer 30-40 minutes until heated through.
- Adjust consistency with additional water if needed.
