Dash™ Chicken Broccoli Pasta
Is plain old pasta on the menu again this week? Try jazzing it up in a more flavorful, satisfying way - add a simple sauce, chicken, broccoli, and your favorite flavor of Dash™! You can feel good about serving this meal to your family - there's no salt involved!
Ingredients
- 1 lb Cooked pasta of your choice
- 2 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb or Dash™ Original Seasoning
- 4 cups Fresh broccoli florets
- 2 cups Salt-free chicken broth
- 8 oz Reduced-fat cream cheese, room temperature, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
Instructions
- Sprinkle chicken with 2 tablespoons Dash™ Garlic & Herb or Dash™ Original Seasoning. Spray a large pot or Dutch oven with cooking spray. Add chicken to the pot, then cook over medium height for 10 minutes, or until chicken is browned and cooked through.
- Add broccoli, remaining 2 tablespoons of seasoning, and chicken broth to skillet.
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, or until broccoli is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
- Add cream cheese and milk to chicken mixture; stir until creamy.
- Remove from heat. Add pasta to chicken mixture, and toss to serve.
