Apple Cider Donut Cake
What is better than a donut? A giant donut that can feed 12 people! This Apple Cider Donut Cake features your favorite fall flavors, a mouthwatering glaze, and is the perfect excuse to eat a donut for dessert!
Ingredients
For the Cake
- 1 box Yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup Apple cider
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Applesauce
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Pam® Non-Stick Baking Spray
For the Dipping Glaze
- ½ cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Member's Mark™ Ground Cinnamon
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Apple cider
- 1/4 cup Butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the dry cake mix, apple cider, applesauce, water, and eggs. Add in the brown sugar and vanilla to the cake mix batter.
- Pour mix into a well-greased bundt pan.
- Place bundt pan on center rack and bake for 45 minutes. Test with a toothpick by sticking into the middle of the cake; if it comes out clean, it is ready. Remove from heat and allow to cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes.
For the Dipping Glaze
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and Member's Mark™ Ground Cinnamon. Set aside.
- For the apple cider glaze, add powdered sugar and 1/4 cup apple cider to a small bowl and whisk to desired consistency. Set aside.
- Once the cake has cooled, brush the entire surface with melted butter. Rub the cinnamon/sugar mixture over the cake until evenly coated.
- Serve cake with apple cider glaze dip (or drizzle glaze on top of the cake) and enjoy!
