Buffalo chicken meatballs are a flavorful and versatile dish that offers a delicious twist on traditional game day buffalo wings. Combining the spicy, tangy kick of hot sauce with the savory goodness of chicken meatballs, this dish appeals to those who enjoy bold flavors but prefer a more manageable, mess-free option.
To prepare buffalo chicken meatballs, ground chicken is mixed with ingredients like breadcrumbs, cheese, and Member’s Mark™ seasonings to create a tender and flavorful base. The meatballs are then cooked in a slow cooker until fully cooked. While in the slow cooker, add butter, water, and hot sauce- which adds a zesty, spicy coating that enhances their flavor. Then let the slow cooker work its magic!
One of the main advantages of buffalo chicken meatballs is their versatility. They can be served as an appetizer, main course, or even on sandwiches. The meatballs can also be customized to suit different taste preferences by adjusting the level of heat in the buffalo sauce or incorporating additional spices.
Buffalo chicken meatballs are also practical for various occasions. They can be made ahead of time and reheated, making them a convenient choice for meal prep or parties. Their bite-sized nature makes them easy to eat, whether at a casual gathering or a more formal event. They are particularly popular for game days, tailgates, or other social gatherings where finger foods are preferred.
Overall, buffalo chicken meatballs offer a delicious, adaptable, and convenient option for those who love the bold flavors of buffalo, but seek a more versatile and less messy alternative to traditional buffalo wings.
