Weber® Herb Garden Sheet Pan Grilled Cheese

Grilled cheese is great, but who wants to stand at the stove and make one or two at a time?  That’s where Weber® Herb Garden Sheet Pan Grilled Cheese comes in!  This grilled cheese recipe is baked in the oven, so you can still experience the crispy bread/gooey cheese combo you love.  Plus, Weber® Herb Garden Seasoning mixed with a little butter makes a perfect spread that adds even more flavor!

When it comes to grilled cheese, the customization options are truly endless.  So let’s narrow it down a little and talk about bread first!

  • Sourdough

  • English muffins
  • Focaccia
  • Pullman loaf

Of course, you can’t talk about grilled cheese without mentioning the best part – the cheese!  While classic American cheese is always an option, we have some other choices that make excellent upgrades.  Can’t decide what to use?  Try a combo of several!  There’s no such thing as too much cheese!

Ingredients
  

  • 5 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Weber® Herb Garden Seasoning, or more if desired
  • 8 slices Bread (sourdough makes great grilled cheese, but the possibilities are endless!)
  • Salted butter, softened, as desired
  • 16 slices Cheese, your choice
  • 4 slices Tomato

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Weber® Herb Garden Seasoning. Set aside.
  • Spread the softened butter on one side of 4 pieces of bread. Lay bread out in a single layer on a baking sheet, with buttered side down.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on the 4 slices of bread. Top with 2 pieces of cheese and a tomato slice.
  • Close the sandwich with another slice of bread. Butter the top of the second slice of bread.
  • Bake the sandwiches for 4 minutes, flip, then bake for another 2-4 minutes, or until both sides are golden-brown and the cheese is melty!
